Mekelle, Wolwalo, and Shire set to travel to UAE for a training camp

Mekelle 70 Enderta, Wolwalo A/U and Sehul Shire are set to travel more than 2517 km to UAE for a training camp as premier league sides prepare for the 2019/20 campaign.

The clubs are set to travel to the Middle East with their traveling and accommodation expenses expected to be covered by yet undisclosed tycoon.

It is strange for Ethiopian clubs to spend the pre-season at a camp abroad, those three clubs will travel to Dubai for a span yet unrevealed.
A press briefing is expected to be held on Monday at Noble House Hotel (Mekelle) to provide details about when and how the scheduled training camp will be addressed.

With the Middle East considered as an ideal location for major European clubs for a warm-weather training during the winter break, the three clubs will be the pioneers to do so in Ethiopia clubs’ recent history.

The Ethiopian Premier league new season outset is yet unknown. Still, it’s expected that the time spent at the training camps and friendlies will help players build up their match fitness for the upcoming season. If a proper execution plan is plotted, the trip may also help those teams to unleash the potential of their fans located outside Ethiopia.
