The Ethiopian Football Federation has named Atnafu Alemu as the U-17 national team coach.
EFF’s Public Relation Officer and Interim General Secretary told Soccer Ethiopia that the Federation has decided to appoint the former Electric manager.
EFF and Atanfu are yet to agree on salary and other terms but the deal will be finalized soon.
Atnafu previously has worked as the assistant manager of the Ethiopian national team under Scottish coach Ifem ‘Iffy’ Onuora back in 2010. Atanfu was also the assistant of Bulgarian coach Yordan Stoikov in the two times Ethiopian Premier League winners Electric before assuming the coaching role in 2014/15 season. Atanfu left his post from Electric last year. He has been serving as the technical consultant for Higher League side Addis Ababa University.
