Premier League : Four Star Dashen Condemn hapless Hadiya Hossana 

Six midweek Ethiopian premier league games were played in five cities across the country as league leaders Kidus Giorgis beat Sidama Bunna 1-0 in Yirgalem. Meanwhile, Ethiopia Bunna defeated Mekelakeya by a score of 1-0 despite being a man down. Dashen Bira have ultimately won a league game as they trounced bottom side Hadiya Hossana 4-0 in Gondar. Hawassa Ketema continue on their fine form with a win over Diredawa Ketema. ArbaMinch Ketema and Wolaitta Dicha settled for a barren draw in ArbaMinch.

All the six premier league games played out today observed a minute of silence in honor of the demised Ethiopians that were a victim of senseless violence in Gambela last week.

Kidus Giorgis cruised past Sidama Bunna courtesy of a solitary goal from Salahdin Said. Salahdin, who made his second debut back in Sunday, has got the nod to lead the Horsemen’s front line during the game. Salahdin struck in 36th minute to hand Kidus Giorgis all the three points as the title aspirants continued on their march at the top.

Togolese forward Edom Hosorovi enjoyed a hat-trick as Dashen Bira thumped Hadiya Hossana 4-0 in a relegation dogfight. Yetesha Gizaw opened the scoring in the 22nd minute whilst Hosorovi grabbed the 2015/16 season first hat-trick of the topflight league after scoring twice in the second half to pull Dashen out of the drop zone.

Asechalew Girma and Desta Yohannis struck in before the interval as Hawassa Ketema overcame Diredawa Ketema at home.

Ethiopia Bunna needed a second half penalty to beat Mekelakeya in Addis Ababa. Cameroonian Yabeun William converted a spot kick after the recess. Wendifraw Geteahun and Baye Gezaghen were shown a red card as both sides finished their game with a man down.

Adama Ketema doomed Electric 1-0 after veteran striker Tafese Tesfaye slotted home from close range in the second half as he bags his 10th goal of the season. Nigerian Peter Nuwadke saw his spot kick saved by Adama goalie Jafar Delil 3 minutes from time.

ArbaMinch Ketema and Wolaitta Dicha ended their game in stalemate.

The win leaves reigning champions Kidus Giorgis at the summit with 33 points whilst Adama are second with 27 points. Dedebit, who will face Ethiopia Nigd Bank on Friday, are third 8 points shy of the leaders. Electric and Hadiya Hossana sits at the bottom of the league table.
