Premier League: Fitsum Gebremariam Scores in Electric win over Dedebit

Relegation battlers Electric came out victorious after losing 4 consecutive games in the week 18 of the Ethiopian Premier League.
Electric stunned second placed Dedebit 2-0. Striker Fitsum Gebremariam bagged a brace to lift Electric over uninspired Dedebit side this afternoon.
Fitsum, who joined Electric on loan from Kidus Giorgis, headed home in the seventh minute to hand Electric the lead. The torrential rain that was pouring in Addis Ababa Stadium made the duel a bit tougher for the two clubs as they were seen struggling to hold the ball in the waterlogged pitch. Fitsum doubled the lead after the recess through a superb finish inside the area to end Electric’s winless streak in the topflight league.
The win leaves the two times Premier League champions 11th, a point clear of the drop zone. Dedebit are still second with 29 points.
Week 18 games will continue on Sunday and Monday as the most anticipated Sheger Derby between rivals Kidus Giorgis and Ethiopia Bunna takes the center stage.
