Premier League : Last gasp Penalty sees Ethiopia Bunna beat Ethiopia Nigd Bank 

Ethiopia Nigd Bank could not survive a late scare against Ethiopia Bunna as the later condemn them to a 1-0 defeat in the week 14 of the Ethiopian Premier League game played in Addis Ababa. In a game that saw fewer goal scoring chances Bunna came close to take the lead in the 41st minute through Cameroonian Yabeun William, whose strike was parried away by Nigd Bank custodian Emanuel Fevor. Bank’s defender Daniel Adhanom saw his goal bound effort denied by Beninese goalie Harrison Hessou.

Nonetheless at stroke of full time Nigd Bank center back Tok James was penalized for a hand ball inside the area as the referee rewarded Bunna a late penalty. William made no mistake from the spot to ensure the three points for Bunna as he bags his seventh goal of the season.

The win leaves Bunna to climb to sixth while Ethiopian League Cup semifinalist Nigd Bank pegged back to 8th.

Ethiopia Bunna fans continued on their protest against the club’s officials in the midst of the game. The fans are still demanding the immediate removal of Bunna’s incumbent Mr. Gezaghen from office.

Week 14 games of the topflight league continue tomorrow in four cities. In Sidama Derby Sidama Bunna takes on Hawassa Ketema in Yirgalem. Bottom side Hadiya Hossana are up against relegation battlers ArbaMinch Ketema. Wolaitta Dicha and Dedebit square off in Boditi. Meanwhile Mekelakeya and Electric lock horns in the Ethiopian capital. League leaders Kidus Giorgis entertains third palced Adama Ketema in a top table clash.
