Ethiopia Bunna Trounced Dedebit as Hadiya Hossana get closer to Relegation 

All week 19 duels of the Ethiopian Premier League were played today across the country as the rejuvenated Ethiopia Bunna beat Dedebit 3-0. League leaders Kidus Giorgis got back on track by pushing strugglers Hadiya Hossana aside 2-0. Hawassa Ketema, Dashen Bira and ArbaMinceh Ketema have also registered an important victory. Sidama Bunna and Ethiopia Nigd Bank settled for a draw. Diredawa Ketema were held by Wolaitta Dicha. 

Salahdin Said’s brace was enough to hand Kidus Giorgis all the three points against Hadiya Hossana. The Horsemen, as they are nicknamed, were charged 5000 USD by CAF for poor security handling and thrown water bottles during the CAF Champions League tie with TP Mazembe. Nonetheless, Salahdin brought joy to the table toppers with his two astounding goals to take Kidus Giorgis closer to the title. Crowd troubles continued in the Premier League as angry Hossana fans clashed with security force.

Ethiopia Bunna were the dominant force when they trashed Dedebit 3-0 in Addis Ababa. Sadik Secho bagged a hat-trick to lift Bunna over uninspired Dedebit side. Sadik, who happened to score his first league goal for Bunna, became the second player to get a hat-trick after Togolese forward Edom Hosourovi. Bunna are unbeaten on their last six league games. Beninese goalie Harrison Hessou kept clean sheet in the last six games.

ArbaMinch Ketema and Electric were in the relegation dogfight as the former snatched a fully deserved victrory. Teshome Tadesse struck twice to give ArbaMinch a two goals cushion before Electric’s center back Cessay Hassan Koeman scored on his own net to extend the lead.

Hawassa Ketema were too strong to handle for Mekelakeya as they doom the Army side 2-0. Mujib Kassim and Firdaweke Sisay scored the goals for the two times Premier League champions in an enticing encounter.

Dashen Bira stunned Adama Ketema in Gondar. Nigerian striker Mohammed Sherif Deen successfully converted a second half penalty for the home side as they overcome Adama.

Diredawa Ketema and Wolaitta Dicha settled for a barren draw. Dicha were involved in five straight league draws without scoring any goals.

Sidama Bunna and Ethiopia Nigd Bank played out a one all draw in Yirgalem. Kenyan forward Erick Murana slots home to give Sidama the lead but Tok James restored parity 11 minutes from time.

The win leaves Kidus Giorgis top with 40 points. Ethiopia Bunna are second with 31 points. Adama Ketema are third, 10 points adrift of the table toppers. Electric and Hadiya Hossana occupies the relegation zone with 19 and 7 points respectively.
