The Ethiopian premier league clubs were in action this week as leaders Mekelle Seba Enderta returned to winning ways while others in the top end of the chart were all victorious except Kidus Giorgis. Ethiopia Bunna and Fasil Kenema enjoyed the free-scoring week.
The week action started on Friday as the only fixture of the day saw tittle fighters Sidama Bunna took on relegation-threatened Sehul Shire at the Hawassa stadium. 3-2 being the scoreline Sidama Bunna’s Addis Gidey scored twice and Dawit Tefera also netting the other one. meanwhile the new import Salifou Fofana scored a brace for the visitors. Following the win Sidama Bunna with 37 points, level with 2nd placed Fasil but are still 3rd with goal difference.
On Saturday 5 star Ethiopia Bunna thrashed Bahir Dar Ketama 5-0 at the Addis Ababa Stadium. Abubeker Nasser and Hussien Shabani scored a brace each while the other goal was scored by Iyasu Tamiru. Bahir Dar Ketema, who were defending very high, easily shuttered by Ethiopia Bunna’s fast counter-attacking approach, ” The Wave of Tana ” who were known for their defensive stolidity in the previous league games were totally outclassed by the brilliant Ethiopia Bunna. On the other match of Sunday Yared Kebede’s last-minute strike handed league leaders Mekelle Seba Enderta a slender 2-1 wiagainstnst Adama Kenema.
