​Adama, Wolkite Appoints New Trainers 

The 2018/19 Ethiopian Premier League curtains were closed a week ago and clubs are being engaged in the transfer market to strengthen their teams for the upcoming season.

with the summer transfer window to be officially opened on August the 1st, clubs are rushing to acquire the signature of new recruits. Newly promoted side Wolkite and Adama Ketema have both confirmed their new Trainers for the upcoming season.

Wolkite Ketema, who were crowned Champions of Ethiopian higher league group B opted to go for new face after they parted ways with Dereje Belay who guided them to premier league promotion. Degarege Yigezaw who was working in Ethiopia’s lower leagues in charge of Bahirdar University, Bahirdar Ketema, Amhara Water Works Construction Company (AWWCC) is a new face for the Ethiopian Premier League.

Wolkite’s bold move to bring an inexperienced coach to the Premier League was strange for most, but the clubs Vice President Abebaw Solomon in an interview with Soccer Ethiopia expressed that they are here (premier league) to make an impact and other groundbreaking audacious moves are coming.  

Degree Yigzaw told Soccer Ethiopia that he picked Wolkite considering the sort of players the club currently possess would allow him the play the brand of Football he prefers his side to play.

Adama Ketema also hires Ashenafi Bekele as their new trainer. The club was concluded the season with Aschalew Gebremichael as their caretaker coach after they decided to terminate the contract of Sissay Abraha at the course of the season.

Adama Executive board were in search of a new coach in the last few days. finally, they decided to reunite with their former trainer Ashenafi Bekele who enjoyed a successful short spell at Wolaita Dicha, guiding them to survival in the premier league who were in contention to be relegated before he took over.

Ashenafi Bekele was in charge of Adama between 2013 and 2017 inspiring them from the Ethiopian National league to the top 3 finishers in the Ethiopian Premier League for 3 consecutive years.  

In related news, Hadiya Hossana also extended the contract of Girma Tadesse for two more years.
