Hawassa suffer loss as Mekelakeya and Dashen Share Spoils

Hawassa Ketema succumbed to a 1-0 defeat away to Ethiopia Nigd Bank in the week 18 of the Ethiopian Premier League.

Hawassa Captain Mulugeta Miheret failed to convert a spot kick 4 minutes after the onset as Nigerian import Emanuel Fevor saved the penalty.
Ephrem Ashamo came very close to hand Bank the lead but his effort hits the upright. Bank were on high and their renewed confidence was illustrated in the second half when winger Sisay Toli slots home to seal the win.
Mekelakeya and relegation threatened Dashen Bira were involved in a barren draw. Both sides did little to win the duel as they offered little as an attacking force.
