Gabon 2017: Gebremedhin Haile Names Squad to Face Lesotho

Newly appointed Ethiopia coach Gebremedhin Haile has called up 25 players for the African Cup of Nations qualifier group game against bottom side Lesotho in Maseru.

Majority of the squad is assembled from players who pile their trade at home while only two players are picked from abroad.

Mekelakeya custodian Jemal Tassew received a call up for the first time in a year. Kidus Giorgis striker Salahdin Seid has also returned to the provisional Walias squad. In form Ethiopia Bunna’s left back Ahmed Reshid got a debut call up alongside Hawassa Ketema’s Desta Yohannis.

There is no room for Ostersunds FK center back Walid Atta while Diredawa Ketema goalie Samson Assefa received a surprise call up.
