The win takes Fasil Ketema to third with 26 points, 3 shy of log leaders Kidus Giorgis. The Gondar club has been a surprise package of the topflight league this season after breaking into the top 3.
Hawassa Ketema edged Ethiopia Nigd Bank in relegation dogfight in Addis Ababa. Bank’s defender Biniyam Siraj turned in a Tafesse Solomon’s low cross into his own net before Togolese striker Arafat Djako ensured the win 10 minutes to go. Following the defeat, Tsegaye Kidanemariam’s Nigd Bank sits 15th with 13 points while Hawassa Ketema are 13th with 14 points.
