Bahir Dar Ketema edge Mechal in the highly anticipated game of match week two while Hawassa edge neighbors Shashmene in the last day action of game week two.

In the highly anticipated early kickoff between two of the sides expected to battle at the top of the log comes the end of the season saw Bahir Dar edging Mechal 2-1.

Mechal named unchanged starting 11 from the previous fixture meanwhile Bahir Dar altered three players from the side surrender in the last minute to Ethiopia Medhin. Pep Seidu , Fitsum Fithalew and Mesay Agengehu came on in place of Alazar Marcos , Salamlake Tegeneg and Abdualziz Seahone.

Firew Solomon opened the scoring for Bahir Dar Ketema in the 11th minute while Habtamu Tadesse strike in the 49th minute made Bahir Dar’s 2-0 up, on the 71st minute Shemeles Bekele pulled on back for Mechal.

The victory meant Bahir Dar Ketema bouncing back from their shocking heartbreak last week.

In the late kickoff Hawassa Ketema beat neighbors Shashmene Ketema 1-0 to collect their first three point of the campaign.

Coach Zeray Mulu made two changes from the side that drew with Fasil, Ugandan goalie Charles Lukwago and midfielder Dawit Tadese were brought to starting XI in place of Tsion Merid and Abdulbasit Kemal. Meanwhile Tsegaye Wondimu made three changes which saw Abdulkerim Kassim, Mintesnot Kebede and Alen Kaywa were on from the start.

Eyob Alemayehu was the hero for Hawassa as his 62nd minute strike was the difference between the two sides.
